Faqs

How replayable is The Shivers?
With our interchangeable Story Card system, modular room layouts, and new expansion packs, the world of The Shivers will continue to expand long after the game debuts.
What if I damage the pop-up rooms?
Please reach out to us via email if your rooms suffer damage. They may be repaired or require replacement.
What ages can play The Shivers?

We officially recommend players be at least 14 years old

How long does it take to play an episode?
Episodes typically last from 45 minutes to 60 minutes, depending on how quickly your group plays.
How long does it take to learn to play?
New players can begin playing after reading about 2 minutes of rules! The Storyteller role requires more learning though, taking about 30 minutes if the Tutorial episode is played.
How can I make my own episode?
Use the downloadable templates above to print out your own Story Cards and Episode Guides! Remember to please share your amazing creations with us via social media @TheShiversGame.
How can I make my own character?
The Create-A-Character pack is purchasable as an accessory, containing blank standees and blank character dashboards to create your own unique in-game persona!
What kind of magnets are used in the game?
Small rare-earth magnets (a bit larger than a grain of rice) are embedded inside the bases of each pop-up room and layout tile. As long as the rooms are undamaged, they should never be visible.
Who should play as the Storyteller?

We recommend an older player who has played role playing games before, or is a good reader and improviser.

After completing the Core game, how do I get the expansions?
New expansion packs are available for purchase here on the website! Supply is limited, but check back often as we are constantly developing new adventures for you.
