Game Features
QUICK SETUP
Setting up a game takes less than 10 minutes. Read the episode summary, open the pop-up rooms, insert the Story Cards into their places, and punch out a few NPC standees. You’re ready to play!
HAND-BUILT POP-UP ROOMS
Includes 6 pop-up rooms, each an amazing miniature work of art. Rooms feature 3-dimensional objects and interactable doors, cabinets, and other surprises!
Character selection
Players will select one of the Shivers family characters to play, each with their own standee and Character Dashboard. Characters have their own unique mix of strengths and fears!
EXPLORE THE ROOMs
Players will take turns hunting for clues, items, and puzzles. Some may be out in the open, some may be hidden, or concealed behind little doors. Cooperation will be required!
Collect items and clues
When players find a useful item, they can write it on their Character Dashboard with the included dry-erase marker. These items may help advance the story, solve a puzzle, or just be red herrings!
ENCOUNTER SPOOKY ADVERSARIES
During their adventure, players will encounter other inhabitants of the haunted house. Some may be helpful, most will be terrifying! Teamwork will be required to get past them.
MAGNETIC MODULARITY
The modular tile system locks together magnetically, forming a new configuration for each episode, and allowing future expansions to plug into the game system. No episode plays the same way twice!
STORY CARDS FOR SERIOUS REPLAYABILITY
THE STORYTELLER RUNS THE GAME
One player will act as the Storyteller, setting up the game, narrating the adventure, and guiding the players through the episode. A Quick-Start Tutorial helps teach them how!
